The Stonington Historical Society is sponsoring a temporary Post Office to be set up in the Dime Bank in order to apply a special cancel commemorating the 2nd Battle of Stonington. Cancels are free on covers (envelopes) provided by the public.

However, special covers will be available with a colored cachet of Cannon Square with the two 18 pound cannons used to fend of the British Fleet. They will contain an insert with a brief story of the battle. They are available for $3.50, half of which benefits the Historical Society.

The Society will also have booklets available describing the exhibits at the Lyman Allyn Museum in New London featuring the Stonington Battle Flag.
