Now...Now it's time for you!

Happy New Year, everyone!

Are you as tired, let down, unsettled, etc...as I was?  The holidays have come and gone.  Hours were spent cooking, cleaning, shopping, wrapping, visiting, laughing, and yes...eating too much fruit cake!  Now, here we are, sitting in a polar vortex,  feeling very unfit and out of sorts.  The excitement of the holidays is over.   It's too cold to be outside walking or playing with the dogs, or any of the other outside activities we indulge in.  So, we sit and read or watch tv when we have down time from work.  Or, in my case, I was thinking about all of these weight loss articles I have been reading, trying to get the right mind set to lose those 20 extra pounds.

It is probably a little known fact, unless you are a Reiki Practitioner yourself, that irregardless of what level of Reiki we are at, we all do Reiki on ourselves every day.  It's a gift that we give to ourselves.  A half hour of meditation, followed by several minutes of Reiki, is a beautiful way to start the day, or end it.  My morning ritual got me thinking in the right direction, settled my mind down.  But it wasn't until a friend and I did a Reiki exchange that I actually was able to find the resolve and the determination to get out the smaller plate, make the better food choices, and do what I am always advising my clients to do.  Relax.  Breathe. Take time for yourself.  Take care of your own needs.  I started taking care of me that day by receiving a full hour of Reiki!  What a gift I was given on that day!  Not only did my back, knees, other various 60+ year joints loosen up, but I finally really did just know that I WANTED to lose the 20 pounds.  For me.  Because it was what I wanted.  For me.  It was what I needed.  For me!

I have rambled a bit....I know.  This is me being me.  Happens all the time!  My whole thought process has been heading to January 19th!  It's time for Relaxation and Reiki at Yoga by the Sea.  It is the perfect setting and the prefect way to relax your mind, restore the spirit, and indulge in 90 minutes of pure peace, harmony, warmth, probably a short nap, and 10 minutes of Reiki!  Casey Cyr Gash will guide you gently to Shavasana and while you are in this meditative state of mind, I will come around and introduce you to Reiki.  Or re-introduce you to Reiki!

Perhaps on that day, in that place, you will find what it is you need.  Reiki and meditation, Reiki and Yoga.  They all go hand in hand.  To find out more about me, please visit www.healingthrutouch.com , and to find out more about Yoga by the Sea, or to reserve your spot on the 19th, please go to www.yoga-bythesea.com

Come on out on the 19th!  Yoga by the Sea. 107 Wilcox Road, Stonington, Ct.  See for yourself where 90 minutes, wrapped in a virtual cocoon can take you.   I hope to see you there!

Be Well,
Chris
