In 2011, Stonington had the most million dollar plus properties on the market in New London County. In 2012, quite a few million dollar plus properties sold. One sold for more than $4 million, one for more than $2 million, eight properties sold for more than $1 million and one sold for more than $900,000.

Here is a look at the highest property sales of 2012 in Stonington:

All dates are when the properties were recorded in Town Hall, often later than the day the property sold.

  1. 331 Liberty Street in Pawcatuck Sold for $4,280,577: ARC TSPTK CT001, LLC of Jenkintown, Penn., bought the property from Windham Crossing, LLC of Wethersfield, Conn., in January.
  2. 227 Wamphassuc Road in Stonington Sold for $2,750,000: Barbara Timken of Stonington, Conn bought the property from Dorothy McCagg of Providence, R.I. and Alexandra McCagg of New York, N.Y., in September.
  3. 84 Water Street in Stonington Sold for $1,875,000: Inger Elliot of New York, N.Y. bought the property from William Fowler and Mary Wolf of New York, N.Y. in November.
  4. 220 Wamphassuc Road in Stonington Sold for $1,675,000: Carrie and Colin Guheen of Stonington, Conn. bought the property from the Sandra Chen Davis Living Trust of New York, N.Y., in May.
  5. 259 North Main Street in Stonington Sold for $1,510,000: Joan Socries of Stonington, Conn., bought the property from the Thomas Carruthers Trust and Linda Carruthers Trust of Darien, Conn., in June.
  6. 45 Clara Drive in Mystic Sold for $1,500,000: The Mystic Senior Living Associates LLC of Norwich, Conn., bought the property from the Clara Morgan Coogan Trust of Stonington, Conn., in July.
  7. 43 Main Street in Stonington Sold for $1,425,000: Richard Easton of Stonington, Conn., bought the property from the Estate of Katherine Woodward Mellon of Dulles, V.A. in September.
  8. 235 North Water Street in Stonington Sold for $1,340,000: Alaza Redrorn of Stonington, Conn., bought the property from the Estates of Jeffrey Ruzicka and Pamela Ruzicka of New London, Conn., in January.
  9. 11 Lambs Way in Stonington Sold for $1,300,000: Jennifer and Larry Runkle of Stonington, Conn., bought the property from Joseph and Angeline Jimenez in April.
  10. 4 Wilbur Road in Stonington Sold for $1,050,000: The James A. Noonan Family Trust of Fort Myers, F.L. bought the property from Saba Malak and Whitney Malak of Boston, Mass., in October.
  11. 6 Stonington Commons in Stonington Sold for $1,043,000: Jeffrey Gagnon of Stonington, Conn., bought the property from the Stonington Acquisitions LLC of Stanford, Conn., in October.
  12. 265 River Road in Pawcatuck Sold for $980,000: Pamela Wright of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., bought the property from Gilbert and Barbara Jordan of Gales Ferry, Conn., in November.
