Mystic Country Connecticut Launches a New 'Antiques Trail.'

Connecticut's Eastern Regional Tourism District has released a fun, new Mystic Country Antiques Trail.

Love the hunt? The Eastern Connecticut Regional Tourism District/ Mystic Country recently released Antiques Trail, a traveler's guide to antiquing in Eastern Connecticut. Whether on the coast, headed inland, or in the country, the Mystic Country Antiques Trail offers thirty of the region's treasure-filled shops to enjoy antiquing while exploring the history and unique places Eastern Connecticut has to offer.

The new Antiques Trail is organized by town allowing visitors to jump on anywhere in Eastern Connecticut to begin exploring. History and unique beauty surround the antiquing adventurer. From Stonington and Old Lyme along the coastline, to Woodstock and Putnam in the northeast corner of the state, the new guide provides places to dine, trails to walk, sights to see and opportunities to explore alongside a very diverse variety of antique shops. From antique chairs and bureaus to typewriters, toy cars and McDonalds toy collectibles, the trail unveils some very diverse finds.

"Many of our region's visitors enjoy the thrill of the hunt that antiquing offers," says Ed Dombroskas, director of the Eastern Regional Tourism District. "The Mystic Country Antiques Trail not only guides our guests to the region's best antiquing locales, but also introduces them to our rich state history, unique town centers, restaurants and attractions."
