According to TheDay.com's Facebook page, the girl was found safe and a suspect is in custody.

10:20 p.m. update:

TheDay.com is reporting on its Facebook page that Daisha Rhodes has been found safe and a suspect has been arrested.

Original story:

According to several media reports and First Selectman Ed Haberek Jr.'s Facebook page, an Amber Alert was issued late Monday for Daisha Rhodes, a 9-year-old girl who was last seen in Stonington with Daniel Candales in a silver 2005 Ford F-150 or F-250 truck with a snowplow and sander attachment.

According to Haberek's Facebook post, Candales is the girl's mother's boyfriend, and the truck's license plate is 82CP75. The truck evaded police after a chase earlier Monday, and the girl's status is unknown. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, black snow boots and a red snow jacket.

Anyone with any information is urged to call 911.

unfortunately, james michael joseph dennis battista, that ^ (the through thick and thin/the serve and protect) stopped happening right about the same time they announced that "elvis has left the building". sad state of affairs but true.
