CT Lawmaker From Stonington Seriously Injured in Fall

The lawmaker fell from a ladder at his house.

State Sen. Andrew Maynard, of Stonington, was seriously injured early this morning when he fell from a significant height off an outside staircase landing on a sidewalk at his home, WFSB 3 reports. 

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. and he suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to the hospital. Maynard, 52, is the deputy majority leader in the General Assembly.
