No Injuries In This Morning's Accident On Pequot Trail

A car struck a tree this morning on Pequot Trail and the road was briefly closed.

A car struck a tree on Pequot Trail this morning briefly closing a portion of the road. Stonington Police said the road re-opened by 7: 50 a.m. and there were no injuries.

There seems to be some confusion over the accident and while Stonington-Mystic Patch does not have all the details including the cause of the accident we know that a car did not hit a school bus.

Stonington High School Assistant Princiapl Mark Friese sent out the following email to teachers:

“I would like to dispel all rumors regarding this mornings accident so please share with your home base.   The accident on Pequot Trail produced no injuries.  The bus was not hit by the car.  A tree did fall when struck by the car and its branches grazed the side of the bus."

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.
