The Pawcatuck Fire District is 125-years-old. Before the formation of the district in 1887 the Westerly Fire Department responded to calls from Pawcatuck.
On Monday evening the Pawcatuck Fire District held their 125th annual meeting. State rep. Diana Urban presented the district with a proclamation. The district also received citations from the U.S. House of Representatives, Governor Dannel P. Malloy’s office and the Rhode Island Senate.
