UPDATED: Pawcatuck Man Seriously Injured In Car Crash

25-year-old brought by Lifestar to Rhode Island Hospital after crash on Greenhaven Road Friday morning.

UPDATE: 2:29 p.m., Friday: Police have identified the injured man as Brendan Huard, 25, of River Crest Drive in Pawcatuck.

A 25-year-old Pawcatuck man is in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital after a single-car crash early Friday morning on Greenhaven Road, according to Stonington police.

The man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, has not been identified.

According to police, the car was heading south on Greenhaven at 2:45 a.m., Friday when it left the road and struck a tree. The driver was ejected and suffered serious injuries.

Wequetequock Fire Department and Westerly Ambulance also responded. The man was taken by ambulance to Westerly Hospital and then sent to Rhode Island Hospital via Lifestar helicopter.
