Police Arrest Suspect in Pawcatuck Burglaries

A local man was arrested Friday in connection with a weekslong spree of thefts in lower Pawcatuck.

A 24-year-old Pawcatuck man arrested by police on Friday is facing a litany of charges in connection with a series of burglaries over the past few weeks.

Lenny Fayerweather, 24, of 98 West Broad St., was arrested on a warrant at about 9 p.m. Friday, according to a news release issued by Capt. Jerry Desmond. Fayerweather was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree larceny, and one count of second-degree criminal mischief.

Stonington Police had devoted numerous resources in both the patrol and detective divisions to the investigation, and the efforts paid off with the recovery of some of the stolen items. Desmond stressed that the investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be forthcoming.

Fayerweather is being held in lieue of $85,000 bond and is set to appear in New London Superior Court Monday.
