Report: Perry Brothers Died Of Multiple Gunshot Wounds

WTNH-TV reports that Alton and Ashton were shot multiple times by their grandmother Debra Denison, who then fatally shot herself.

Two-year-old Alton Perry was fatally shot in the head by his grandmother, Debra Denison, and his 6-month-old brother Ashton died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

WTNH-TV reports that both boys' deaths were ruled homicide. Debra Denison's death was ruled suicide, as she died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

Denison picked up both boys at their North Stonington day care on Tuesday — Alton's second birthday — and when she failed to bring the boys home an Amber Alert was issued. Police said a suicide note had been found and Denison was carrying a handgun.

Hours later all three bodies were found in Denison's van, parked at the Lake of Isles boat ramp in Preston.

Why do we need to know the amount of times these poor babies were shot. The thought of multiple gs wounds to a 6 month old is horrible. This information should not be in the news

I guess the news reporters should check with you first to see what should be said and what should not....don't read anmore about it if it's too painful!

I agree that it is troubling information, but it is the reality of the horror this woman inflicted on her own grandchildren. Perhaps knowing this, some will be less likely to be as solicitous as has been the case-sounds monstrous to me!
