Report: Perry Brothers Died Of Multiple Gunshot Wounds

WTNH-TV reports that Alton and Ashton were shot multiple times by their grandmother Debra Denison, who then fatally shot herself.

Two-year-old Alton Perry was fatally shot in the head by his grandmother, Debra Denison, and his 6-month-old brother Ashton died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

WTNH-TV reports that both boys' deaths were ruled homicide. Debra Denison's death was ruled suicide, as she died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

Denison picked up both boys at their North Stonington day care on Tuesday — Alton's second birthday — and when she failed to bring the boys home an Amber Alert was issued. Police said a suicide note had been found and Denison was carrying a handgun.

Hours later all three bodies were found in Denison's van, parked at the Lake of Isles boat ramp in Preston.
