Stonington Police Remind Residents of Snow Parking Ban

If two-inches or more of snow comes in overnight, vehicles must be moved by 8:00 a.m.

The Stonington Police issued the following notice about the snow parking ban on Saturday, December 29:

With possible snow accumulations coming in this afternoon into tomorrow, I am sending this reminder that the town snow ordinance requires vehicles to be removed from the roadways when there is over 2" of snow for the purposes of plowing. If the 2” or more of snow comes in overnight, then vehicles must be moved by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. Vehicles not removed will be ticketed and or towed. For residents in the Stonington Borough, when there is over 2" of snow, Water Street must be clear of vehicles and vehicles on Main street and Elm street must be parked only on the even side of the street tomorrow as it is an even day. We thank you for your assistance and hope this message will allow for efficient clean up of the streets.
