Stonington Police Remind Residents of Snow Parking Ban

Parking ban will go into effect by tomorrow afternoon.

The Stonington Police issued the following notice about the snow parking:

With a significant amount of snow being forecasted over the next two days, I am sending this reminder that the town snow ordinance requires vehicles to be removed from the roadways when there is over 2" of snow for the purposes of plowing. A parking ban will be in effect by tomorrow afternoon and will remain in effect until after the storm stops and your road receives a final plowing.. Vehicles not removed will be ticketed and or towed. For residents in the Stonington Borough, when there is over 2" of snow, Water St must be clear of vehicles and vehicles on Main street and Elm street must be parked only on the even side or odd side of the street depending if the date is an odd or even day. We thank you for your assistance and hope this message will allow for efficient clean up of the streets.
