Stonington Police Warn of Counterfeit Bills

Three cases of counterfeit $50 bills came up at businesses in the Mystic area.

The Stonington Police Department issued the following alert on Friday, January 11, 2013:

Dear Businesses:

Be advised that we had three counterfeit $50.00 bills come up in cases with businesses, this past week, in the Mystic area. Please take precautions to examine. Hope this helps our businesses and let us know if we can assist in any other ways.
