Woman Arrested After Carrying Brass Knuckles Into Courthouse

Angelina Quinn of Mystic was scheduled to face a judge over a speeding ticket on Wednesday but left Middletown Superior Court charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.

A woman was arrested Wednesday at Middletown Superior Court after it was discovered that she was carrying brass knuckles, police say.

Angelina Quinn, 21, of Mystic, was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.

According to State Police Sgt. Sal Calvo, Quinn was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for a speeding ticket. A guard found the brass knuckles while searching Quinn's purse at the entrance to the courthouse.

The charge carries a maximum $500 fine and three years in prison.

Quinn is due back in court next month.
