Stonington First Selectman Edward Haberek emailed Patch the following statement early Friday announcing he is seeking re-election.
"I want to take this moment today and announce that I am running for re-election for First Selectman of the Town of Stonington. It has been an honor and privilege to serve the residents of Stonington for the past six years and look forward to continuing to move our town forward. I want to thank the residents for their support and encouragement throughout the years and I ask for your vote again on November 5, 2013. I look forward to seeing you along the campaign trail."
