Stonington Schools, Town Offices Closed Monday

Power, road situations still too unsettled, according to officials.

Stonington's public schools and town offices will be closed Monday as the town grapples with power and plowing issues caused by the blizzard.

"Due to power outages and unsafe road conditions, school is canceled tomorrow, Monday, February 11," Superintendent of Schools Van Riley said, adding that school was scheduled to resume on Tuesday.

First Selectman Ed Haberek Jr. also announced the closure on his Facebook page and said town offices would also be closed Monday.
