Stonington Police Chief Receives Commendation

Police Chief J. Darren Steward was recognized at Wednesday’s Board of Selectmen Meeting.

 

The Stonington Board of Selectman commended Police Chief J. Darren Stewart at their Wednesday Board of Selectmen meeting.

The honored Stewart as honored as a Distinguished Chief at their May banquet dinner.

Chief Stewart was nominated for this recognition by Stonington Board of Police Commissioner Chairwoman Susette Tibus.

“I am very proud but not at all surprised that the PCAC has chosen to recognize the high standards of conduct and leadership that we here in Stonington admire and appreciate from our Chief Stewart” remarked Chairwoman Tibus.

On Wednesday Stewart thanked the town and his family for their support.

"I've been very lucky in many different ways it's really a recognition of the you guys," Stewart said.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
