6 Ways to Beet Stress Naturally

Stress-management is the most effective preventative-medicine available and it's available at no charge to you.

Unfortunately, stress can be used as a motivator and people put themselves in dire circumstances, like procrastinating something till the bitter end, just so they can eventually take action.

Stress is best used only in the primal way of fight or flight.

If we use stress continually, perhaps unconsciously, to trigger our motivation or to fuel or sustain our emotions we not only overload the instinctual premordial stress-instinct but we create a feedback loop that we can not easily break out of.

Deprogramming our stress and finding a neutral balance both physically and emotionally can be done with a little self observation.

Peter Bregman says in his blog: "almost everything we freak out about is somewhere in the 1-2 range of dashed expectations. In other words, our moods and our stress levels are determined by events that actually matter remarkably little...we can substantially reduce our stress by recognizing that in many situations, we have become perfectionists in realms where perfection isn't necessary, realistic, or even useful"

Now here are 6 Ways to Beet Stress Naturally and coincidentally, this is also a useful acronym for S.T.R.E.S.S.

SUPERIMPOSE: superimpose the main parts of your self...the physical body, the mental body, the spiritual body and the emotional body so they are visible to you all at one time. To create balance in your life, begin by bringing all parts of the
self into a clear and harmonious focus.

TRAIN: train your physical body to not be tense. With practice the body and mind  learn to react less and respond more. Ultimately there is a longer pause before responding as we observe our inner selves more than the external situation. By putting more emphasis on righting our own keel to the right course rather than trying to change an external and momentary circumstance the stress never reaches a boil.

REWIND: rewind and then hit PAUSE. There is no way for us to hit the pause button when we are in a stress-overload-loop, even if it's a low-grade stress that we have become accustomed to. First, we must rewind the tape (this may require the use of all available powers for self observation) and then hit the pause button.

EAT BEETS: beets have a plethora of beneficial nutrients and a bonafide holistic arsenal of positive effects on our nervous system. Beet juice is alkaline. Lowering the acidity in the body with alkaline foods reduces stress. Beet juice helps stimulate liver cells and cleanse and protect bile ducts. The liver is known to store anger and stress so cleanse it with beets. Beet betalains provide strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxification support for the body. Beets are high in fiber, potassium, magnesium, niacin, calcium, iron, and biotin. Eat beets to beet stress.

STRETCH: stretch your muscles because "the issues are in the tissues". Stretching your muscles in a systematic way can relieve both momentary stress and years of accumulated stress.

SEE: see things for what they are...momentary. See the stressors in life as synchronicities that inform all the senses about the infinite possibilities that exist not just the one perceived and momentary stress.
