Seaside Shadows is relatively new to the blogosphere, but after a number of FAQs, and continual growth and development of the tours and special evenings, we couldn't help but note that there's no better way to get the word out about all our upcoming news, events, and ghostly developments than to distribute articles to the local online newspaper!
In this blog, we hope to provide you the reader with answers on what it's like to be a sensitive to the paranormal, what it's like to grow up in a haunted house, and most importantly, what you can expect on an outing with Seaside Shadows, be it an evening lantern light tour or a special event touring a haunted location.
Seaside Shadows Haunted Tours is new to the Mystic area having just debuted in October of 2013. We run tours YEAR ROUND Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at 7 PM. Tours last about 80 - 90 minutes and are less than a mile in walking distance. Year round you say? Yes, we respond! As paranormal researchers and people who experience true hauntings, we can personally vouch that ghosts make themselves known all the year round.
You, the guest, provide an open mind and your walking shoes, and we will provide the history, the spooky stories, and the paranormal know-how for any aspiring ghost hunter out there.
All the stories on a Seaside Shadows tour are factual and are told based on in depth historical research and stories told directly by local residents, merchants, and employees.
Guide, Courtney (me - the author of this this blog) has a few things in her repertoire, one being that she used to work for law enforcement, and has the investigation savvy and ability to corroborate haunting stories with actual history, and also growing up in a haunted house, investigated by the Warren family who's cases inspired movies such as "The Conjuring" and "The Amityville Horror" she is also uniquely an intuitive and sensitive to the other side.
A Seaside Shadows tour will answer questions such as who is the most famous giggling ghost of Mystic? Where do employees keep returning to work 100 years after the place closed? Was the Mystic Pigman an actual criminal? Why does Mystic have so many fiery events, and more.
