CANADIAN DANCE CHAMPION TO VISIT MYSTIC FRED ASTAIRE

MYSTIC, CONN:  Ginette Cournoyer will coach and teach dance students at Fred Astaire Mystic Dance Studio this Friday, January 13. Cournoyer is a former Professional Canadian and North American Champion in Standard and Ten-Dance. 

“We are very excited to bring Ginette to our students.

As a World semi-finalist and choreographer of Canada’s Olympic ice dancers, Ginette offers first-hand performance and technique advice to Fred Astaire students competing later this month,” said Vadim Asmolov, co-owner of Fred Astaire Mystic Dance Studio.

Students are now preparing for the January 28 dance competition hosted by Mystic Aquarium.

At this evening of music and dance, judges will vote for the best Fred Astaire Mystic Pro-Am couples in smooth and Latin styles. (Tickets are available from the studio, (860) 245-0037)

Cournoyer’s other achievements include winning 4th at the Professional World Cup – Germany, 5th at the Professional World Cup – Japan, and choreographing Patrice Lauzon and Marie-France Dubreuil, Canadian Olympic ice dancers. Cournoyer also offers training for Professional and amateur examinations.

Fred Astaire Mystic Dance Studio consists of 1,200 square feet of ballroom floor.
