SUP Yoga is happening at NESS! Come and test your core strength and balance, while enjoying the views of Stonington Harbor.
NESS has taken water adventure to the next level and combined yoga with stand up paddle boarding to create an experience unlike any other. Stand Up Paddling and yoga have a lot in common, including the clarity of mind and the full-body work out they both provide. In the fusion of SUP and yoga, small groups set out on the SUP boards, paddle to warm up and stretch, and then the yoga class begins.
SUP Yoga will combine traditional yoga postures with the added FUN of floating on a stand up paddleboard (SUP) in flat water. Susan Connelly, currently teaching at Advantage Personal Training and High Street Yoga, will lead you through an intelligently designed sequence of postures targeting the legs, butt, abs, back and arms, opening up the breath, quieting the mind and moving into great alignment with ourselves and the natural beauty that surrounds on the water.
Please bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, towel, and dress as you would for a regular yoga class, or in a bathing suit. Keep in mind that you MAY get wet! No need for a yoga mat, as the stand-up paddleboard is our mat! All classes will meet at NESS. These classes are suitable for all levels of students, and stand up paddle instruction is included. All gear is provided.

- Reservations are required by 5 pm the day before
- Suitable for ALL levels
- Limited spots are available due to equipment availability. Minimum 3 students per class.
- In case of inclement weather, class will not be held
