The New England Tri-Star Ballroom Championships
Are you the kind of person that enjoys going out and doing things? Do you like fun skirts and hip action? Then you’re going to love the 28th annual Tri-Star Ballroom Championships! This August 16th-18th, Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Mystic will have the honor of representing the New London area. They need your help to represent New London well too, be it cheering, or dancing, or even simply being there, every bit counts. With 3 Full days of dancing, this event is not one to miss.
On Thursday, August 16th, in the afternoon all of the International style dances, such as Jive, or quickstep, will be held. In the evening all of the professionals will be dancing in numerous categories battling it out for 1st place. On Friday, August 17th, all the graceful, elegant, smooth dancing will be held, such as the waltz, foxtrot, and tango. On Saturday, August 18th, all of the fast, exciting, rhythm dancing will be held. This Friendly competition composed of the New England area will be held in the Mystic Marriot and tickets will be sold at the door.
