Municipal Meetings

Monday: Plan of Conservation and Development Subcommittee, 7 p.m., Mystic Middle School

Just for Fun

Monday: Dog Days of Summer continues at the Mystic Aquarium. Go watch police K-9 demonstrations and learn from other animal handlers how they train their furry, finned or feathered friends.

Tuesday: Bank Street Books is hosting Story Hour beginning at 10:30.

Wednesday: The first 25 writers to sign in, ages 13 and up, are invited to read, sing, or speak about their work for up to three minutes at the Writers’ Open Mic night at the Mystic and Noank Library tonight at 6.

Thursday: Connor Beverly’s book “On the Corner of William and West Broad” has published! The book is about the history and families who resided at 140 West Broad Street in Pawcatuck and is chock full of photos, letters and personal interviews of families who lived there through the century. He’s taking orders now, you can find out more info on the book's Facebook page - don't wait!

Friday: This one of the last days people can enjoy one of Mystic’s beloved landmarks. The Emporium, on Water Street, will close its doors Saturday.
