This Week in Meetings and Cocktails with the Whales!

Here are some highlights from the week ahead.

Municipal meetings this week:

Monday

The Waterfront Commission meeting was cancelled but the Old Mystic Fire Department Board of Directors meet at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting is at 7:30, Stonington Harbor Management Commission meets at 7 p.m.

Tuesday: Retirement Board is having a special meeting at 1:30 p.m., the Housing Authority meets at 4 p.m., the Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m., the K-12 Building Committee meets at 7 p.m.

Board of Selectmen meet at 7 p.m., the Board of Finance has a special meeting at 7:30 

Just for Fun

Monday: It’s Girls Night at Baubles and Bling. Enjoy Store Specials and a Fall Trunk Show  from 4 to 8 

Tuesday: Raymond Uzanas, a Stonington resident, shares his recent experiences traveling in Central Asia at the Westerly Public Library at 6 p.m.

Wednesday: Join the Mystic Aquarium for one of their Kidsporation concerts. The concert series features a great line-up of popular children’s musicians, which start at 2:30 p.m. and is free with aquarium admission. 

Thursday: The Writer’s Block Ink in collaboration with CT Landmarks and the Hempsted House of New London opens with The Slave Inside of Me, which examines slavery past and present. The show runs through the weekend and tickets are on sale now. You can buy tickets at the Writer’s Block Ink at 446 Coleman Street in New London. 

Friday: Cocktails with the Whales tonight! Mystic Aquarium's Arctic Coast belugas play as you walk around and enjoy cocktails and appetizers.
