What's Up in Stonington This Week?
Budget meetings and lots more municipal stuff, but also a Bear's banquet and biz breakfast!
A slew of town meetings this week starting off Monday with the Old Mystic Fire Department Board of Directors at 6:30 p.m. at 21 North Stonington Road. That meeting is followed by the regular meeting at 7:30, same location.
The Waterfront Commission meets at the same time at the Water Street Café on Water Street in the Borough. Next up is the Harbor Commission at 7 in the community room at the Stonington Police department.
Tuesday Jan. 14, the Housing Authority meets at 4 p.m. in the Edythe K. Richmond community room. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m. in the community room at the Stonington Police department. Meanwhile, the K-12 building committee meets at 7 p.m. in the Board of Education meeting room.

Wednesday Jan. 15, the Architectural Design Review Board meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Stonington Town Hall. And the Board of Finance has a special meeting slated for 7 p.m. at the Wequetequock Fire department meeting room.
Finally Thursday, Jan. 16, the Stonington Board of Education has a budget presentation slated for 7 p.m. at the Stonington High School Commons.

In the Borough, the Stonington Village Improvement Association meets Monday, Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in Borough Hall
Looking ahead to the weekend, don’t forget the Stonington Village Winter Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Velvet Mill, 22 Bayview Ave.
Check out the first networking biz event of the year with the Greater Mystic Chamber’s Groton Business Association breakfast Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 a.m. at the Best Western Olympic Inn in Groton.
The SHS Bears Football team banquet is Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nice job this season, Bears!
