Stonington First Selectman has announced the nomination of (CUSH) for the 2012 Aquarion Environmental Champion Award.

In an email, Haberek thanks CUSH for its "wonderful work in the Stonington Boat Pump-out project."

According to Haberek, "Four of the most outstanding volunteer projects for their contributions to improving Connecticut’s water, air, soils and wildlife habitat will be selected. Adult, business and non-profit winners will be given a $2500 grant to pass on to the environmental non-profit of their choice."
