Owen grew up in Mystic and Stonington, and according to the obituary, was a constant explorer and loved to be outdoors, enjoying fishing, snowboarding, boating, and adventures with his family.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Union Baptist Church, 119 High St., Mystic, and according to the obituary, the family requests casual dress.
