The Slave Inside Me

What does it mean to be a slave today? That is the question asked by local students in this production. The students have been at the Hempsted Houses this summer, finding inspiration in the past to discuss current issues.

You're invited to join us at 1 p.m. for a special introduction to the performance and the project. You are also welcome to stay afterward to meet the cast, enjoy light refreshments and discuss the show. Admission is $10 for students, $12 for adults and $8/person for groups of five or more. All proceeds benefit the Writers Block.

Other performances are at 7 p.m. at the Writers Block, 446 Colman St., New London, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Aug. 15-17 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17.
