Daily Five: Mystic Woman's Club Meeting

Five things to know for Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012

1. On Saturday October 13, Stonington-Mystic Patch, Groton Patch and the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce are holding a cash mob in downtown Mystic. Ten great local businesses are participating in the event and many of them will have specials for mobsters. We are taking advanced registrations on Patch. All you need to register is your email address and zip code, and be willing to spend at least $20 on Saturday, October 13 in downtown Mystic. 2. The Mystic Woman's Club, a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of CT, will hold their next meeting on Thurs., Oct. 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 15 Pearl St., Mystic. The guest speaker will be cookbook author and New England food expert, Katie Moose who will give a presentation on The Food History of New England. 3. Simply Majestic is offering 50 percent off select jewelry services for the month of October and a portion of sales will go to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation. Simply Majestic staff will also be wearing scrubs all month. And there are plenty of more ways to Shop Pink in Stonington this month.
