Local Caterer Cast In Meryl Streep Movie

Playing a role in two scenes in a movie, starring and Steve Carell, isn’t a typical workday for Stonington caterer Caroline Joss. But it’s exactly how Joss spent last Thursday, September 29.

The Just Desserts Etc., owner had no idea what to expect when she went to the .

“This will be a totally new experience plus so entirely different from my catering business,” Joss said before she went to the set.

Joss who works with admitted she knew little about the film industry, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying her day of fame.

“I think the nicest part was to meet so very, very many interesting people who do this type of work on a regular basis to augment their income,” Joss said. “I loved the entire day but probably would not do it again as it is one extended Wait, Wait, Wait and little ‘quiet on the set’.”
