When Hurricane Sandy Hands You Lemons, Make Lemonade

Yellow House Coffeehouse took their four days offline as a chance to spruce up the inside! How did you make lemonade out of Sandy's lemons?

Yellow House Coffeehouse was open Monday morning as Hurricane Sandy bore down on the Connecticut coastline, but then the shop went dark until Saturday, like most businesses in the village.

But owner Shanna Geary was not going to let yet another storm-related outage keep her down. She brought in friends and family and took the opportunity to spruce up the joint.

When the Yellow House reopened Saturday morning, it looked like it had gotten a great night's sleep.

Did you make any improvements in the aftermath of Sandy? Tell us in the comments.
