B Willie Smith Band at The Knickerbocker Cafe in Westerly!!!

The legendary CT based B. Willie Smith Band will present a very special live show at The Knick Friday, June 1.

If you were a blues/R&B fan in the northeast back in the 70’s and 80’s, you’ll certainly remember the B’s scorching live shows.  Though they stopped playing full-time back in 1987, the band still plays a few select shows each year.  Singer B. Willie, who now lives in Arizona, is thrilled to be coming back to Rhode Island:  “Many great memories at The Knick.  Our gigs there were always rockin’, and I seem to remember that the Knick always had the best dancers!”

Being multi-instrumentalists, the B’s come at you from many directions.  In addition to vocalist Smith (who also plays guitar and drums), are Jerry Connolly, who when not drumming, comes out front to play harmonica and sing, Steve Baldino (guitar, piano), Bob Elliot (bass, guitar, vocals), Mike Cavadini (keyboards, alto sax, vocals), and Dan Cipriano (tenor sax, alto sax, vocals)!
