Cottrell Brewery Community Party: Oktoberfest Launch

After a successful inaugural run in 2011, Cottrell’s Oktoberfest is back. Saturday September 29th from 3 to 6 PM at the Cottrell Brewery, 100 Mechanic St, Pawcatuck, CT, this local brewery invites the community to sample beers, listen to live music by Craig Edwards and enjoy some food.   The event is free and open to the public.

Oktoberfest is a traditional munich style festbier, with a complex malty flavor and aroma with a sweet, toasty taste.   It is well-balanced, clean and smooth, with hints of caramel.   Local treasure, Susan Scala, created the artwork for the beer and she had also produced the artwork for Cottrell’s Summer Ale.

Cottrell Brewery is a microbrewery owned by local residents Charlie and Ann Buffum, manufacturing delicious craft beers in a fine New England tradition. The beers are fresh, full of character, and at the top of their class.  Proud of its local history and artistic tradition, the brewery celebrates both through its distinctive, flavorful beers.
