Poll: Is The Streetscape Project Stopping You From Going To Downtown Mystic?

Business owners say they are in danger of closing and need locals to support the shop, but is the streetscape project keeping residents away. Take our poll and add your thoughts in the comments.

Business owners and the are urging locals to support downtown Mystic, but the streetscape project may be keeping many people away.

“Getting through downtown Mystic is a nightmare already, and it's not even the summer rush yet,” . “The parking situation is horrible. ‘Fixing’ the street by taking out spaces was a bad idea. The big green wall is unsightly, the construction is inconvenient, the parking difficult. Many of us would love to shop local, we just can't get there!”

As the streetscape project approaches its June 30 deadline the project is crushing their businesses and jeopardizing the health of the downtown Mystic.

Is the streetscape project keeping you from shopping downtown or have you made more of an effort to support the shops during the project? Take our poll and add your thoughts in the comments.
