1. Join the Stonington Free Library at 3 p.m. for a Fancy Nancy Tea Party. The library invites girls, ages three to eight to attend a tea party with tea, cookies and the chance to get a fancy manicure. The event is free but requires registration so call the library at 860-535-0658 this morning to reserve a spot.
2. The Olde Mistick Village’s Becca Rose is holding professional makeup classes on Tuesday evenings. The classes cost $39 per class and include a 30-minute demonstration, 30-minute question and answer session and one hour of shopping. Tonight’s class is on the natural look. 3. The Stonington Planning and Zoning commission meets tonight at 7 at Mystic Middle School. The commission is expected to make a decision on the proposed senior living facility in Mystic.
4. Anyone a NASCAR fan? The National Association for Stock Car Racing (NASCAR) was founded on Feb.21, 1948. Mechanic and Washington, DC auto-repair shop owner William France Sr., was one of the key founders.
