Area residents woke up to a layer of snow that surprised many today.
Area schools, including Stonington Pulic Schools and , are operating on a delayed schuled and Connecticut State Police are asking people to stay off the roads if possible.

High school starts at 9 a.m., ends at 2 p.m.
Middle schools start at 9:40 a.m., end at 2:40 p.m.
Elementary schools start at 10:25 a.m., end at 3:25 p.m.
AM Kindergarten starts at 10:25 a.m., ends at 12:12 p.m.
PM Kindergarten starts at 12:35 p.m., ends at 3:25 p.m.
AM Pre-School no school
