Class I: Coastal Impacts
Sunday, October 20th from 12:30-2:30 pm.
Beaches are incredibly dynamic environments where land, sea, and air meet. Wind, waves, storms, hurricanes, and sea levels are constantly changing this rugged habitat. Investigate ways nature and humans effect beach erosion. Identify how currents, ocean temperatures, wind, and tidal fluctuations all have huge effects on the local coastline. Discuss current methods being employed to prevent storm erosion and flooding of coastal communities.
