Stonington Borough Holiday Stroll

For one night each
year, time seems to stand still in Stonington Borough. A horse and wagon will
transport strollers up and down streets lined with shops and historic homes
decorated with wreaths and twinkling lights. Holiday strolls are common in New
England but most would argue that no one does it better than Stonington
Borough.

On Friday, December 6th 5:30 p.m. the Stroll kicks off at Wadawanuck Square
where carolers will gather in front of the library and sing prior to the tree
lighting and arrival of Santa Claus. After the much anticipated tree lighting,
strollers can enjoy free cider at the library and then head down Water Street
where most shops will be offering refreshments and an opportunity to get a
start on holiday shopping.  Most stores
will be open until 8:00 p.m. The Holiday Stroll is a festive, frenzy free
environment to see what’s in the shops in your own backyard.  There will be plenty of free parking at the
Town Docks and something you’ll never find in a big box store…an unforgettable
holiday memory.

The Stroll is
sponsored by the Stonington Borough Merchants Association and the Stonington
Village Improvement Association.
