Boat Runs Aground Off Stonington Coast
There were no injuries in the boating accident, but the boat sustained significant damage.
Emergency personnel quickly responded to a boating accident this morning.
Shortly after 11 a.m. a motorboat with two people aboard ran aground off the Stonington coast. No was injured in the accident but emergency personnel had to rescue the people and retrieve the boat from the east side of the breakwater.

Stonington Police Captain Jerry Desmond said there was significant damage to the boat.
The cause of accident is under investigation by the state DEEP and the Stonington Police Department.
