New Stonington Schools Principal, Assistant Principal Named

New elementary principal and middle school assistant principal named

Stonington Schools Superintendent Van Riley has named the West Broad Street/West Vine Street schools principal and new assistant principal for Pawcatuck and Mystic Middle schools.

The new West Broad/West Vine Principal is Alicia Sweet Dawe, who Riley said “served in our district before moving to Voluntown as principal of their K-8 school this past year.” 

And the new assistant principal for Pawcatuck and Mystic Middle will be Jennifer Bausch, who Riley described as “an outstanding science teacher at (Mystic Middle School who) will be missed in that role.”

“But I am sure this new assignment will keep her very busy,” Riley said.

“Please join me in welcoming our two new administrators.  I thank the screening and interview committees for helping with these important decisions,” Riley said in a statement released to Patch.
