Stonington Public School Students Visit China
Students from Mystic Middle School, Pawcatuck Middle School and Stonington High School as well as school administrators and teachers are in China for a field trip. Mandarin Chinese Education Teacher Feng Xue sent us these updates from their trip:
July 5 Tuesday Jinan
What a busy day. We visited our two sister schools: Jinan No. 7 Middle and High School and Shungeng Elementary School, grades 1-6.
Breakfast was served free in the hotel. After breakfast we left for Jinan No. 7 Middle and High School (grades 7-12).
At the school we met the principals, teachers and students. We visited classrooms where students were taking exams. After speeches by No. 7 High School and Stonington Public Schools a Sister School Agreement was signed and students from both schools performed in a talent show. Celeste Courtney played the flute and Conor Feeney played Trombone.
