Love this! The students participating in Stonington High School's CloseUp! Washington weeklong study trip will wrap your holiday gifts for FREE! Come to the SHS Commons Monday Dec. 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. when students will wrap gifts. “If you are inclined to offer a donation to their trip, they would be grateful,” teacher Mr. Richard Walter notes.

Four municipal Town meetings posted this week; two have been canceled. On as scheduled are Monday’s Conservation Committee Special Meeting set for 7 in the Stonington Police Department community room and the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. at Mystic Middle School on Tuesday Dec. 17. The canceled meetings are Monday’s Plan of Conservation Development subcommittee meeting slated for 7 p.m. and Wednesday’s Architectural Design Review Board originally set for 5:30 p.m.

And in the Borough, the Board of Warden & Burgesses meet Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall and on Thursday Dec. 19, the Zoning Board of Appeals meet at 7:30 p.m., also in Borough Hall.

Early dismissal Friday Dec. 20 for all Stonington public schools; nice way to start a vacation!

West Vine Street School holds a holiday Sing-a-Long Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. You know that’s going to be adorable!

Besides a 50-50 chance of snow and or rain Tuesday into Tuesday night, it looks to be a lovely weather week; with quite a bit of sun accompanied by seasonal temperatures.

Affordable Care Act and CT's new insurance marketplace workshop that was postponed last week will be held Tues. Dec. 17th from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Stonington Free Library.
