Rosanne graduated from Colorado College with a degree in English, after working her way through school in Denver and Colorado Springs. She worked for a daily in Colorado Springs, where she covered several beats, including the military, which has a large presence in the area, and traveled to Europe with a Fort Carson unit to cover the winter war games. She also worked at a Fort Collins daily before returning to Connecticut – looking for a job and a home near the water (after being in landlocked Colorado) – and found a home in Stonington and a newspaper job at The Day in New London, where she was an award-winning journalist, covering major news events and criminal trials and then becoming city editor and later associate editor of Mystic Coast & Country magazine.

She delights in the changing seasons and New England life with her sweet husband and two lovely golden retrievers, Sofee and Ollie.

She also enjoys seeking out great places for great escapes and she's been known to love to shop, although she's on a bit of an austerity budget these days. That does not, however, hamper her ability to scout around for nifty buys in Westerly, Pawcatuck, Stonington, Mystic and Groton and share them with you through her Treasure Hunt column. She's also been known to entertain challenges as to the exact number of shoes occupying her closet(s); she just gave away three pairs that she knows someone will have fun wearing this season and she just returned a pair that didn't fit after all … so the numbers, although her husband begs to disagree, are dwindling.
